Founded in 2017, the Tennessee Business Leadership Council (TBLC) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that seeks to strengthen Tennessee's business environment through thoughtful collaboration, research and analysis, and ideation. TBLC is comprised of select business leaders representing a broad cross-section of industries from across the state including some of Tennessee’s most established and notable employers.
To support policies and initiatives that help make Tennessee the best state in the country to do business and improve economic opportunity for all Tennesseans.

Our membership consists of influential business executives from across Tennessee who are thought leaders in their respective communities and represent a cross-section of industries and business interests. Members are the Chairperson, Chief Executive Officer, President, or a key c-suite executive of their company.
TBLC partners with leading researchers and institutions to study some of the most complex and important issues confronting our state. These fields of study include education, workforce development, infrastructure, healthcare and regulatory policies. We seek to offer unbiased, data-driven solutions to help inform state leadership.
